Musashi answers. Not with a single sentence — the question does not permit that — but with a conversation that ranges across everything: farming, Inshun, Kojiro, the Yoshioka, the nights alone in forests, the weight of having killed and having been changed by it. The student listens. Whether he understands is another question entirely.
